After a cleaning
Your teeth may feel smooth and slightly sensitive for a day or two. That is normal.
- Brush twice a day for two minutes with a soft brush.
- Clean between your teeth once a day with floss or interdental brushes.
- Gums may bleed a little for a few days as they heal — keep brushing gently.
- Book your next check-up in six months.
Check-up questions
Does cleaning damage the enamel?
No. Scaling removes hardened tartar from the tooth surface; it does not remove enamel.
Why do my gums bleed after a cleaning?
Inflamed gums bleed easily. Once the tartar is gone they settle and firm up within days.
How often should I come?
Every six months for most people. If you have gum disease, we may suggest every three or four months.
Due for a check-up?
It takes about half an hour. Pick a day that suits you and we’ll confirm on WhatsApp.
